Another week has passed, and it’s time for another LA Kings‘ weekly prospect update. Even with a plethora of prospects inactive this week (due to no games scheduled, the World Juniors, or injury), several performances still stood out. The player who highlighted this week’s prospect update was defenseman Jared Woolley.
Woolley, 19, scored three goals, added an assist, and registered 12 shots on goal in three games for the London Knights (OHL), including a two-goal performance with an overtime winner against the Owen Sound Attack. With Sam Dickinson turning pro with the San Jose Sharks, Woolley has seen his role elevated in his final year in London. The 6-foot-5 defenseman continues to play his physical and shutdown style of hockey and has seen time on the power play in addition to his the penalty kill.

That bigger role has seen Woolley put up 24 points (9 G, 15 A) in 33 games. He’s on pace for his best offensive season in the OHL.
