Minnesota Wild head coach John Hynes, defenseman Quinn Hughes, and right-wing Ryan Hartman spoke with the media at TRIA Rink in St. Pau Tuesday morning. KSTP Sports was there.

Hynes gave injury updates ahead of Tuesday evening’s game against the Nashville Predators and provided his views on the IIHF World Junior tournament. The Twin Cities is hosting, with the first games on Friday. Thus, the reasoning for the Wild being on the road after Tuesday for so long.

Hughes spoke about his transition to Minnesota, how sick he is of living in a hotel room, how much he enjoys practice, his memories of the IIHF World Junior tournament, his thoughts about the long road-trip, and how much of a whirlwind his time in Minnesota has been so far.

Hartman discussed the importance of the game against the Predators, his thoughts on the long road-trip, and how Hughes has impacted the team so far.

Minnesota has a 22-10-5 record overall and a 6-3-1 record in Central Division play. The Wild have a +17 scoring differential, with 112 total goals scored and 95 allowed.
