Adam Foote has confirmed that Elias Pettersson will be back in action tonight as the Vancouver Canucks face Macklin Celebrini and the San Jose Sharks, it will be an interesting game for the Canucks as they finally have a decent amount of center depth.

” And most importantly Hughes had an issue with Pettersson’s work ethic. And when your supposed best player and highest paid player isn’t working hard enough, the rest of the team is either not going to work hard, or grow resentful of his laziness.”-Stinson

Elias Pettersson makes long awaited return to lineup.

Adam Kierszenblat confirmed on X that Pettersson will be back in the lineup tonight.

#Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote when asked if Elias Pettersson will be playing tonight: “Petey’s Back”

Pettersson will be coming back to a very different team since his injury, the Canucks have only lost one game since losing Hughes, and the young talent has brought some fresh air to the team for the time being. Pettersson has come under fire since the Hughes trade, about his lack of work ethic, and how he deteriorated his relationship with Hughes.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes with Pettersson and the new players on the team. He is building a reputation of being a poor teammate, some even calling him a cancer. The rest of the season will serve as a testament to that statement. Pettersson can prove he is a leader to the younger guys, or prove everyone right that he needs to be traded.
