Ottawa Senators netminder Linus Ullmark has been granted a leave of absence for “personal reasons,” the team announced Sunday.
In a statement, president of hockey operations and general manager Steve Staios did not explain why Ullmark was leaving the team but said he had the “full support of our organization during this time.”
“Out of respect to Linus, we will not be making any further comments,” Staios said.

He last played Saturday in the team’s 7-5 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, giving up four goals on 14 shots.
The Senators are back in action Monday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
