The Ottawa Senators will be without Linus Ullmark for the foreseeable future.

The goalie will take a leave of absence for personal reasons, the Senators announced Sunday. It’s unclear when Ullmark will return to the team.

“Linus has the full support of our organization during this time,” president of hockey operations Steve Staios said in a statement. “Out of respect to Linus, we will not be making any further comments.”

Ullmark is in his second season with the Senators after being traded to Ottawa after the 2023-24 season for Joonas Korpisalo, Mark Kastelic and a first-round pick — which the Bruins used to draft Dean Letourneau.

In 28 games this season, Ullmark is 14-8-5 with a 2.95 GAA and an .881 save percentage.
