Predators forwards Filip Forsberg and Erik Haula were named to the 2026 Olympic rosters of Team Sweden and Team Finland, respectively, on Friday.

The moves mean Nashville will have four players competing in the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina beginning next month in Italy.

Preds captain Roman Josi and goalie Juuse Saros had already been named to the Team Switzerland and Team Finland rosters, respectively.

This will be the first Olympics for Forsberg, 31, who has had a solid season so far, contributing 31 points (16 goals, 15 assists) in 40 contests — including 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in his last 12 games.

Forsberg has a 2.5 points per 60 minutes average so far this season, which is his lowest since he recorded the same mark during the 2018-19 season.

A 14-year NHL veteran who has spent his entire career with Nashville, Forsberg is the Predators’ all-time leader in goals (334). He ranks second in assists (378) and points (712) behind Josi in franchise history.

The 34-year-old Haula will be playing in his first Olympics as well.

The 13-year NHL veteran has totaled 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in 40 games this season. His points per 60 minutes average of 1.9 this season is Haula’s highest since the 2021-22 season.

Haula is also considered a good defensive forward and a strong penalty killer.

The men’s hockey tournament at the Olympics will begin with preliminary contests Feb. 11, with the gold medal game scheduled for Feb. 22.

This will be the first time NHL players will participate in the Olympics since 2014.

In the 2014 competition, Canada won gold by defeating Sweden 3-0 in the final. Canada defeated the U.S. 1-0 in a semifinal and Sweden downed Finland 2-1 in the other semifinal.

In the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Canada won gold on Sidney Crosby’s overtime goal, as the host nation downed the United States 3-2 in the championship game.
