New Jersey Devils fans will certainly have their own rooting interest during next month’s Winter Olympics.
Jack Hughes is among the 25 players who will be representing the United States as the 2026 Olympic hockey roster was announced Friday.

Hughes’ Olympic participation was in jeopardy for a while when he suffered a freak injury during a November team dinner, cutting his hand in an accident that required finger surgery. It was estimated Hughes would be out approximately two months, though he returned to the team late in December.
Before the injury, he was leading the Devils with 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 17 games, as they held the best record in the NHL.
Hughes, 24, has 11 goals and 11 assists in 22 games played this season.
