DETROIT, Mich. (WILX) – Red Wings Captain and star Center Dylan Larkin will represent the United States of America in the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. The rosters were announced on WILX-TV 10 Friday morning as part of an exclusive reveal on NBC’s “TODAY” show.

The Milano-Cortina games will be played February 11-22.
Notably, two other veteran Red Wings players did not make the cut for Team USA in Forwards Patrick Kane and Alex Debrincat.
Other Red Wings stars Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider will compete for their respective countries in the Olympics. Raymond will be on Team Sweden while Seider will be on Team Germany.

First Olympics with NHL stars since 2014
The 2026 Winter Olympics will be the first games to feature NHL stars since the 2014 games in Sochi, Russia.
Dylan Larkin has not played in the Olympics before but has experience with Team USA as part of the 4 Nations Face-Off in 2024.
Larkin has scored 21 goals and notched 17 assists in 42 games played so far this season for Detroit.

Team USA will compete in Group C in the men’s hockey tournament. They are scheduled to take on Latvia on Feb. 12 followed by Denmark and Germany on Feb. 14 & 15.
