Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:
The Winnipeg Jets aim to snap an eight-game losing streak tonight against the Ottawa Senators. They’re 1-6-3 in their last 10 games and are sitting dead last in the Central Division and the entire NHL. A win tonight would tie them with the Vancouver Canucks for 31st overall, but that result depends on Vancouver’s game. In other news, Nino Niederreiter, Josh Morrissey, Connor Hellebuyck, and Kyle Connor were all selected to represent their respective countries at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
Ottawa Senators News & Notes:
The Ottawa Senators look to keep the defending Presidents’ Trophy winners at bay. The Senators look to get themselves out of the basement of the Atlantic Division with a win over Winnipeg tonight. Ottawa is 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and looks to improve over the coming weeks. The Senators have multiple players representing their respective countries at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. Lars Eller, Nikolas Matinpalo, Jake Sanderson, Tim Stutzle, and Brady Tkachuk are all names headed to Italy in February.

Players To Watch:
Winnipeg Jets
Mark Scheifele has been a driving factor for the Winnipeg Jets all season long, and getting snubbed from Team Canada’s Olympic roster could give him more fire to have bigger games the remainder of the season.
Dylan Samberg has been steady on defence, and the Jets need steady in a time of chaos. If Samberg can settle things down and play the style of game he typically plays, the Jets should be in good hands to snap their losing skid.
Ottawa Senators
Tim Stutzle aims to have a big night on home ice as the Ottawa Senators look to add to the Jets’ losing streak. A big game from Stutzle means big things for the Senators at this stage of the season.
Brady Tkachuk will, without a doubt, be all over the Winnipeg Jets tonight as the Senators aim to climb up in the Atlantic Division and into a playoff spot.
