Tomas Hertl can now add Olympian to his impressive resume.
On Tuesday, Hertl was confirmed on Team Czechia’s roster for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.
The 32-year-old Praha native last represented his country at the 2022 World Championships, where the Czechs returned home with the bronze medal.

Hertl is having one of the more statistically impressive seasons of his career so far, notching 30 points in 40 games. His .84 points per game is on pace for the third-highest mark of his career, only behind his 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons with the San Jose Sharks.
With Hertl’s addition, the list of confirmed Golden Knights in the Olympics has grown to seven.
Mitch Marner, Mark Stone and Shea Theodore will be joined by head coach Bruce Cassidy for Team Canada. Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin have been selected for Team USA, while Jonas Rondbjerg was one of the first six players confirmed for Team Denmark.
There is the possibility of one more Golden Knight joining the contingent, with goaltender Akira Schmid in the mix to join Team Switzerland.
