The Boston Bruins are back at TD Garden in Boston on Thursday, Jan. 8, looking for a bounce back win against the Calgary Flames in their second meeting in less than two weeks.

The Bruins are coming off a 7-4 loss to the Seattle Kraken to close out a five-game road trip and snap a two-game winning streak. David Pastrnak had a pair of goals, Mason Lohrei had a goal and Viktor Arvidsson also scored. Back on Dec. 29, Boston was in Calgary to take on the Flames and Andrew Peeke scored the lone goal for the Bruins in a 2-1 overtime loss. Now the team sits 22-19-2 and is starting a five-game home stand.
The Flames are 18-21-4 and have lost three straight to start 2026 after closing 2025 on a three-game winning streak. This is the second stop in a five-game road trip for Calgary, that opened in Montreal on Wednesday with a 4-1 loss to the Canadiens. Joel Farabee scored the lone goal in that game, while against the Bruins last month, Blake Coleman scored a goal and Connor Zary scored the winner in overtime.
