ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) – The Blues are looking to shake off a 7-3 loss to the Blackhawks as they travel to Utah to take on the Mammoth, a team three points ahead of them in the race for a wild card spot in the Western conference.

19:58: Nothing better than starting the game with a fight as Alexey Toropchenko and Jack McBain dropped the gloves off the opening face-off. Both got five-minute majors for fighting.
4:50: Nick Schmaltz’s 15th goal of the season gives Utah a 1-0 lead.
Second period:
12:15: Lawson Crouse scores to make 2-0 Mammoth.
12:05: Oskar Sundqvist quickly answers for the Blues, his 3rd goal of the season cuts the lead to 2-1.
8:17: Sean Durzi’s 3rd goal of the season makes it 3-1 Mammoth.
3:33: Pavel Buchnevich scores during a delayed penalty to pull the Blues within a goal. 3-2 Mammoth.
Third period:
19:39: The Mammoth’s Lawson Crouse lost an edge on his skate, went down to ice and collided with Robert Thomas, who also went to the ice. Thomas was helped off to the Blues dressing room.
13:03: Nick Schmaltz scores again, this time on the power play, to make it 4-2 Mammoth.
