The Vancouver Canucks have received a very encouraging update on injured forward Conor Garland, who hasn’t played since December 30th against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Injuries have caused some big issues for the Vancouver Canucks since the puck dropped on the 2025-26 season all the way back in October, with a number of the team’s big stars spending time on the sidelines at various points including Elias Pettersson, who has also found his way back into the rumor mill recently.”Adam Foote says that Conor Garland & Marco Rossi will be out at least a week.
Says that Garland’s injury is a new injury that resulted from the slew foot that Garland received vs Philly.” Randip Janda said on X.

Tuesday will mark two weeks since Conor Garland last suited up for the Canucks and many have been wondering the status of the 29-year-old and when he may return to the team’s lineup.
On Saturday, Conor Garland made an appearance at the Canucks’ morning skate at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, albeit in a non-contact sweater, which was great news for the team as it looks like he’s trending towards a return, potentially before the road trip concludes next Thursday in Columbus.
“Good to see you, Garly!
Conor Garland has rejoined the #Canucks in Toronto.” the Canucks shared on X.
After the morning skate, Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote spoke about Conor Garland joining up with the group on the road trip and being back on the ice after he was slewfoot during their loss to the Flyers.
“Garlys close. He could make it by the end of this trip, which would be one of the last three, so we’ll see.” Foote said.
He added, “Yeah everyone knows Garly, he practices hard. He’s out there always chirping, holding guys accountable but having fun doing it. He does a good job with it I think. As much as they probably need a break from him every so often, which I don’t like to see because that means he’s injured, they might like it for maybe a day and they’ll miss him.”
Garland, a native of Scituate, Massachusetts, has appeared in 33 games this season for the Canucks, registering 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists), 18 penalty minutes and is a minus-ten while averaging 19:49 of ice time per night.
Following tonight’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Canucks will head to Montreal to face the Canadiens on Monday then on to Ottawa on Tuesday before wrapping up their six-game road trip against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night.
