I wanted to take a quick couple of minutes today to talk to you about Montreal Canadiens forward Zachary Bolduc.
Let’s recall that Bolduc was on the top line, alongside Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, before having his spot literally “stolen” by Alexandre Texier.
Today, based on what we’ve seen over the last two games, it really looks like Bolduc has lost his place on the top line for a long while.
That said, the way Bolduc reacted yesterday deserves to be highlighted. It perfectly sums up the team spirit and family atmosphere that currently exists within the Montreal Canadiens.
On Thursday night, Bolduc was the first to jump into Texier’s arms (after the game), after the Frenchman recorded a hat trick. On the Canadiens’ bench, Bolduc seemed to be the happiest of all about Texier’s success… Wow!
Notice just how genuinely happy Bolduc is for Texier!
An incredible display of just how great a teammate Zachary Bolduc is with the Montreal Canadiens
What makes the story even more enjoyable is the way everyone buys into the moment. In the game footage, you can see Cole Caufield picking up a hat on the ice to give it to Texier as a keepsake.
Texier is playing on the top line with Nick Suzuki and Caufield, and that’s precisely a line where Zachary Bolduc once had his seat.
Yet, when you look at what’s coming out of the locker room, you quickly understand that no one is trying to steal the spotlight. It feels like a tight group of friends, but above all, a group of friends that wants to win.
When a team is that tight, the opponent can feel it even before the puck drop. We love it!
Great moments for the fans!
