We were treated to a fairly exceptional evening once again last night, live from the Bell Centre for the Montreal Canadiens.
Hats were flying at the Bell Centre on Thursday night.
The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Florida Panthers 6-2, and Alexandre Texier recorded a hat trick. The crowd was just waiting for the third goal to throw their hats, and they didn’t hold back.
Since arriving in Montreal, Texier has totaled 14 points in 22 games, including 7 goals and 7 assists. In his last two outings, he has added 4 goals and 6 points, coming off a three-point night the previous evening.
Ejected from the game, Arber Xhekaj then immediately returned to salute his teammates, giving us a great scene
All of this, with Martin St-Louis also present a little farther away. On nights like this, you quickly see who is fully living the moment.
Even away from the official action, Xhekaj was spotted in the immediate vicinity of the guys as Texier’s feat was being talked about. His energy was impossible to miss, and it added a human touch to the moment.
After the game, the scene continued in the locker room. An atmosphere that said it all. This hat trick hits even harder when you look at the journey.
In his first 260 NHL games, Texier had never recorded a three-point game, and now he has done it on back-to-back nights.
Sometimes, the puck decides it’s your week, and you just don’t let go.
Congratulations to Alexandre Texier!
