New Jersey Devils forward Zack MacEwen will miss the rest of the 2025-26 season after having ACL surgery, the team announced on Saturday.
The 29-year-old from Charlottetown, PEI, has played in three games for the Devils this season and hasn’t recorded a point.
MacEwen hasn’t played since Nov. 12.
In other injury new winger Stefan Noesen is scheduled to undergo knee surgery next week and will be placed on the injured reserve.
Noesen will be out long-term, according to head coach Sheldon Keefe.
The 32-year-old American has three goals and four assists over 38 games for the Devils in 2025-26, his second year in New Jersey.
Noesen has scored 83 goals and 92 assists over 482 career games with the Anaheim Ducks, Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and two stints with the Devils.
New Jersey has struggled recently, dropping three straight games by a total score of 16-2. They sit sixth in the Metropolitan Division with a 22-20-2 record.
The Devils are in Winnipeg on Sunday afternoon to take on the Winnipeg Jets.
