It was looking dicey for a bit, but the Vegas Golden Knights have finally appeared to find a winning formula.

On Sunday, the Golden Knights look to take their winning ways on the road when they play the San Jose Sharks for the final time this season.

The Golden Knights have done a good job of shrugging off their struggles, riding a three-game win streak headed into San Jose. However, they can ill afford to overlook the Sharks, who have won six of their last seven games on the back of superstar Macklin Celebrini’s 13-game point streak. With the rivalry between the sides looking like it could ignite again sometime soon, this would be the perfect time for the Golden Knights to remind their up-and-coming foe that they are still the superior side.

Here is how the Golden Knights can continue to establish dominance.

In the last game against the St. Louis Blues, the Golden Knights got key contributions from some of their best players.

The headline of the game was Mark Stone, whose empty net dagger lead to tying the longest goal-scoring streak both across the NHL this season and in team history at seven games. Shea Theodore also returned from injury with what was ultimately the game-winning goal, and both Mitch Marner and Jack Eichel got on the board. The Golden Knights are at their best when their stars are rolling, and that certainly appears to be the case heading into San Jose.

Carter Hart’s lower body injury against the Columbus Blue Jackets has put the Golden Knights in dire straits with their goaltending once again.

The pending return of Adin Hill should be a boost, but the Golden Knights will instead turn to rookie netminder Carl Lindbom. Lindbom has not played for the Golden Knights since Nov. 29, when he notched his first career NHL victory over, ironically enough, the Sharks. The Swedish goaltender has continued to impress in Henderson, so the hope is that momentum continues.

Despite being on the upswing, the Golden Knights have still been the puzzle the Sharks just cannot seem to crack.

Not only have the Golden Knights won all three matchups so far this season, but San Jose has been unable to get in the win column against Vegas since the 2022-23 season. It was a fact the Sharks were reminded off in emphatic fashion in their last game, when the Golden Knights blasted them with five first period goals en route to a 7-2 victory on Dec. 23. With this being the last time the Sharks can get one over on their nemesis, the Golden Knights should expect to see a hungry team looking for revenge.
