The Winnipeg Jets will be forced to finish Sunday’s game against the New Jersey Devils with just five defensemen.

Colin Miller has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest with a lower-body injury, the team said.

The six-foot-one defender went hard into the boards in the first period and had to be helped off the ice before immediately heading down the tunnel.

The 33-year-old has one assist and is a negative-eight through 14 games this season.

The Jets are last in the Central and have recently lost 11 straight contests.
