VOORHEES, N.J. – For the first time since exiting the game vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday with an upper-body injury, Philadelphia Flyers’ winger Travis Konecny skated with the team at Sunday’s practice.

It did not last long, as Konecny left practice early with what appeared to be an injury.

The star winger left the ice and immediately sat on the bench, wincing in pain. He later used the path between the bench and the Flyers’ locker room to try to walk it out. Konecny was clearly moving with a limp, but did not fully get to the locker room.

He spent a lot of time on the side of the ice being checked out by assistant trainers Joe Mele and Alex Ambrose.

He never left the bench area, even staying on the bench and sliding down to remain involved in the on-ice meetings.

Konecny eventually went back on the ice behind practice to test it out, but he very clearly looked in pain, like he was fighting through some. Eventually, the forward left practice and went back to the locker room with Ambrose.

An update will be given once practice is over.

Update

After practice, head coach Rick Tocchet said the winger took a puck off the knee, leading to his exit.

Tocchet said it was a nerve thing, like a dead leg. He said Monday’s game is once again in question for Konecny.
