Trent Miner will start in net for the league-leading Colorado Avalanche against the Maple Leafs on Monday with both Mackenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood injured, head coach Jared Bednar told reporters after morning skate.

Wedgewood is healthy enough to back up Miner, Bednar added.

Miner, 24, has appeared in three Avalanche games this season, recording a shutout to go with a .945 save percentage and 1.39 goals-against average.

At the AHL level, the Brandon, Man., native holds a .907 save percentage and 2.40 GAA.

Blackwood has been on injured reserve with an undisclosed ailment since Jan. 2.

All three goalies took the ice at morning skate.
