A Vermont man is facing charges after another man was seriously injured on Saturday in an altercation and subsequent fall at TD Garden during a Boston Bruins game.Aaron Tucker, 48, of Barre, was arrested and charged with serious bodily injury and assault and battery on a person over 60/disabled with injury.A TD Garden spokesperson said the incident occurred in the lower bowl seating area.Police said Tucker, who was wearing a New York Rangers jersey, shoved the victim, who fell headfirst down several rows.According to the police report obtained by WMTW sister station WCVB, multiple witnesses said the man who was shoved had been harassing the Rangers fan before the push.When medics arrived, the man was found semiconscious and suffering serious injuries. The man was taken to a local hospital. Police said his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.”That was terrifying especially because he was pushed and not just a simple slip and fall,” said fan Annie Donahue.Video below: Fight between fans at TD Garden According to the police report, one witness told police that he saw the victim intoxicated and agitating the suspect and his wife or girlfriend. He said that he saw the victim “put his middle finger directly in the suspect’s wife’s face.”Other witnesses also told police that they saw the two arguing back and forth with each other before the victim was pushed down the stairs.While on the way to the hospital, the victim told police that he “drank and had no memory of this incident and did not know why he was going to the hospital.”One witness said they saw the suspect, later identified as Tucker, leave the arena after allegedly pushing the victim.Surveillance cameras captured Tucker and his friend standing near the intersection of Endicott Street and Lafayette Avenue, just blocks from the arena, and he was taken into custody. “The matter has been turned over to the Boston Police Department for investigation,” the TD Garden spokesperson said. “We are fully cooperating with authorities and have no further details to share at this time.”Court documents indicate Tucker was released from custody Saturday on personal recognizance. He is scheduled to face charges Friday.The Bruins beat the Rangers 10-2.
