A Vermont man faces charges after a fight between fans at a Boston Bruins and New York Rangers game at TD Garden left a 60-year-old man hospitalized.
Police say the victim was pushed while standing on stairs in the arena on Saturday afternoon, causing him to fall backward and suffer a head injury.
A 48-year-old man was later arrested and charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and assault and battery on a person over 60.
Investigators say the incident followed a verbal confrontation in the stands, and the case remains under investigation.
Arraignment is expected Friday.
