The stars will be out in Hollywood when the Vegas Golden Knights step foot in the City of Angels.

On Wednesday, the Golden Knights look to keep their surprising January alive when they take on the Los Angeles Kings.

The earlier inconsistencies of the season feel like a bygone memory, with the Golden Knights turning the page since the calendar flipped to 2026. They now find themselves on a four-game winning streak, putting together arguably their best stretch of play all season long. After soundly defeating the Sharks last time out, the Golden Knights now hope to use that momentum to roll through another division rival.

Here is how they can ensure they leave Tinseltown with two more points in the bank.

While the Golden Knights have every right to be confident heading into this game, the Kings have been known to give them a little trouble as of late.

The Kings have won four straight matchups against the Golden Knights, but there is reason to believe for a different result this time around. While the Golden Knights have surged forward, the Kings have faltered with losses in three of their last four games, as well as a less-than-ideal 7-10-5 record at home. All the ingredients are there for the Golden Knights to finally get one over on their longtime rival.

Tomas Hertl won First Star honors after putting together a career-high five points against the Sharks, but he is not the only threat worth monitoring for the Golden Knights.

Mark Stone and Jack Eichel are rolling right now with point streak of eight and five games, respectively. Shea Theodore has hit the ground running in his return to the lineup with goals in his first two games back, while Mitch Marner has put up ten points (one goal, nine assists) in his last nine games against the Kings. The best players for the Golden Knights are all on absolute heaters right now, and they are always a difficult team to stop when everyone is rolling.

One element that has stood out above the rest for the Golden Knights this season has been how consistently good the power play has been.

That held true once again with the Sharks, as Pavel Dorofeyev and Hertl were both responsible for tallies on the man advantage. The string of success has coincided with the Golden Knights boasting the fourth-best power play in the NHL, cashing in at a 26.1% clip. With the Kings currently bottom-five on the penalty kill (76.8% success rate), things could easily get out of hand if the home team sees a parade to the penalty box.
