Keagan Smith shares his favorite NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s four-game slate.
Wednesday night brings a small four-game slate to the NHL schedule, but there’s still plenty of reason to tune into most of these. Maybe Senators/Rangers isn’t your cup of tea, but the Kraken are hot right now heading into a matchup with the Devils. The Sabres and Flyers are both fighting to stay in the playoff race in a competitive Eastern Conference, and a Pacific Division clash between the Golden Knights and Kings always brings intrigue.
Here are some of the top NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday, January 14.

Best NHL props for Wednesday 1/14/26
Jack Hughes 4+ shots on goal (+110)
The Devils’ star forward missed over a month with a mysterious hand injury and didn’t totally look like himself when he made his return in late December. However, his play has ticked upward over the last week or so with a three-game point streak and four points across those contests. The first-line center is a key part of what New Jersey does and will prove crucial in trying to get the franchise headed back in the right direction following a rough stretch of losses. He did help propel the Devils to a win in the Hughes Bowl on Monday against the Wild, and tonight’s matchup lends itself to a big night. Hughes leads the roster with 3.67 shots on goal per game and has at least three SOG in five straight outings. While he’s only reached four shots in 12 of his 28 appearances this season, the opposing Kraken fall 24th in shots allowed with 29.6 and gave up 42, 36, 34 and 38 shots in four of their five most recent contests. With plus odds here, I like Hughes to record at least four SOG tonight against a defense that’s falling apart in some aspects.
Darcy Kuemper over 23.5 saves (-125)
The Kings have experienced a very up-and-down campaign but have the chance to win a key game against the current division leaders tonight. Los Angeles plays at home against the Golden Knights, so watch for things to potentially get a little bit chippy. In either case, Vegas sits 10th in shot attempts per game with 28.9 and will be looking to push the tempo against a rival after putting up 35 shots in the first meeting this year. That sets up L.A. netminder Darcy Kuemper to go over his saves prop tonight in the late window. The veteran started the season quite poorly but has seen his numbers rebound to a respectable 2.49 GAA and .905 SV%. He went over 23.5 saves in three of his last five contests and has done so 13 times overall this season, so against an excellent offense, he could very well do it again at home tonight.
