Niko Tournas always had a scoring touch.
But after netting just two goals in 41 games during 2023-24 with the USHL’s Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, the game wasn’t feeling quite the same. He needed a fresh start.
“After that year, hockey felt more like a job than something fun, something that I always loved,” the Redding, Conn., native reflected.
