Mulligan’s is primarily known as a soccer bar, but this week, the Hoboken pub is making headlines with the pop stars.
According to Deuxmoi, singer-songwriter Tate McRae was allegedly spotted at Mulligan’s celebrating a birthday alongside her boyfriend, Jack Hughes, who plays for the New Jersey Devils. The Instagram account shared a photo of Tate posing with fans inside Mulligan’s, alongside a DM that said, “She was in the bar last night. One of the New Jersey Devils hockey players had [their] birthday party there after [their] game think she’s going out with one of them.” See the full post below.
The Sports Car singer was first linked to Jack Hughes in November 2025, when the two were seen out on a date at Anton’s in NYC, according to Cosmopolitan. On December 21st, Tate made an appearance at Prudential Center for Jack’s return to the ice after he was out on injury. The Deuxmoix post suggests the pair have had quite a New Jersey week, with additional alleged sightings in Bradley Beach. (There were also rumors that the star was spotted in Wildwood, but this turned out to be false.)
Hughes plays center for the Devils and has been with the team since the 2019-2020 season. McRae skyrocketed to fame in 2025 with the release of her album So Close to What? and her subsequent “Miss Possessive World Tour.”
The New Jersey Devils are no strangers to the Hoboken scene, frequently spotted at downtown bars and restaurants. It’s rumored that a number of the players live in the Mile Square City, though that’s unconfirmed.
