St. Louis Blues News & Notes:

The St. Louis Blues roll into Canada Life Centre having been shut out by the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night, and they’ll look to get back into the win column over Winnipeg tonight. They made some changes behind the bench, as Steve Ott was named the head coach of their American Hockey League affiliate. He takes over Steve Konowalchuk in the role, and Ott’s promotion to head coach down in the AHL leaves a vacancy up with the NHL club at his assistant coach post. St. Louis is 4-6-0 in their last 10 games played.

Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:

Winnipeg has found itself back in the loss column as they were recently shut out in Chicago by the Blackhawks in Jonathan Toews’ return to Chicago. The Jets look to get back to their winning ways with a win over the Blues at home on night two of a road-to-home back-to-back set. Winnipeg is 4-4-2 in their last 10 games played.

Players To Watch:

St. Louis Blues

Dalibor Dvorsky has emerged as a great second-line option for the St. Louis Blues. If he can be a key factor in breaking the Blues’ losing skid and keeping the Jets at bay, the Blues will be in good hands.

Philip Broberg has been excellent defensively for the St. Louis Blues, and he’ll look to be excellent tonight as the Jets are in game three of a four-in-six stretch and on night two of a road-to-home back-to-back set. This is the perfect opportunity for the Blues to have a big game as a team.

Winnipeg Jets

Mark Scheifele will be a key player for the Jets tonight as they look to get ahead of their scoring drought against St. Louis. He’ll look to lead the charge as the Jets aim to get out of their current slump.

Dylan Samberg has been a strong player defensively for the Jets, and he’ll look to continue that tonight with veteran Luke Schenn on his line.
