The Calgary Flames are making some roster changes with one of their players back from injury.

Forward Martin Pospisil is in line to make his season debut with the Flames after being recalled from the American Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers following a conditioning loan, the team announced Tuesday.

In a corresponding move, forward Dryden Hunt was assigned to the Wranglers.

Pospisil, 26, was placed on the long-term injured reserve at the start of the season after missing the final pre-season game with an undisclosed injury.

The Slovakian centre tallied four goals and 21 assists in 81 games last season and was rewarded with a three-year, $7.5-million contract extension in the off-season.

Since being selected 105th overall in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Pospisil has 12 goals and 37 assists in 144 games.

Hunt, meanwhile, has been kept off the scoresheet in his three NHL appearances this season. He has logged an average of 8:56 ice time a night.

The Cranbrook, B.C., native has 11 goals and 20 assists in 26 games with the Wranglers this season.

The Flames return to action on Wednesday as they host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet+ at 7:30 p.m. MT / 9:30 p.m. ET.
