Montreal Canadiens
Sam Montembeault will get the start in net when the Canadiens host the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, confirmed head coach Martin St. Louis.
Montembeault, 29, is coming off a 6-5 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, allowing five goals on 34 shots.
The 6-foot-3 netminder has won four of his last five starts and has a 9-6-2 record this season with an .873 save percentage and 3.44 goals-against average.
Ottawa Senators
The Senators recalled forward Stephen Halliday from the AHL’s Belleville Senators on Thursday.
Halliday, 23, previously appeared in 18 games with Ottawa, recording six assists.
The 6-foot-4 centre also has two goals and 26 points in 22 AHL games this season.
Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins have assigned defenceman Jordan Harris to the AHL’s Providence Bruins on a conditioning stint on Thursday.
Harris, 25, has only appeared in five games this season after sustaining an ankle injury that required surgery at the end of October.
The 6-foot left-shot defenceman has a goal and two points in five games while averaging 15:38 of ice time.
Harris joined the Bruins on a one-year, $825,000 contract in the off-season.
Joonas Korpisalo will start in net against the Vegas Golden Knights, according to Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald.
Korpisalo has a 9-8-0 record with an .896 save percentage and 3.09 goals-against average this season.
Columbus Blue Jackets
Forward Mason Marchment will return to the lineup on Thursday when the Blue Jackets take on the Dallas Stars.

Marchment, 30, missed the teams last eight games while dealing with an upper-body injury.
The 6-foot-5 winger was acquired by Columbus on Dec. 20 from the Seattle Kraken in exchange for two draft picks.
Marchment has nine goals and 20 points in 36 games this season split between the Kraken and Blue Jackets.
The Blue Jackets placed defenceman Denton Mateychuk on injured reserve in a corresponding move.
Mateychuk, 21, has missed the team’s last four games with an upper-body injury.
Jet Greaves will start in net for the for the Blue Jackets against the Stars.
Greaves, 24, has a 14-12-6 record this season with a 2.70 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.
