With the Winnipeg Jets far out of a playoff spot in the NHL’s Western Conference, Jonathan Toews trade talks are picking up
NHL insider and former Sportsnet analyst Jeff Marek suggested a deadline scenario connecting Toews and the Edmonton Oilers.
It lands harder because Toews isn’t a random depth name; he’s the storybook homecoming guy coming off a
Marek’s angle is simple: if the Jets continue to slide out of the race, contenders will sniff around.
Edmonton makes sense on paper because they always chase another center who can handle tough minutes.
