The Vegas Golden Knights (25-14-12) visit the Montreal Canadiens (28-17-7) Tuesday. Puck drop from Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, is set for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NHL odds around the Golden Knights vs. Canadiens odds and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.
Season series: Montreal leads 1-0 after a 4-1 win in Vegas Nov. 25 as +164 dogs.
The Knights were humbled 7-1 at the Ottawa Senators Sunday as -146 favorites. D Rasmus Anderson scored the lone goal for Vegas, and it was his first with his new club. The Knights have lost 3 of 4 as they close out a 4-game road trip.
The Habs have dropped 2 straight after a 4-3 loss at the Boston Bruins Saturday as -110 favorites. RW Cole Caufield had all 3 goals to give him 27 on the season. The Canadiens were 2-for-3 on the power play and are eighth in the league at 23.8%.

Adin Hill (3-2-2, 3.53 GAA, .855 SV%) vs. Jakub Dobes (15-5-3, 3.01 GAA, .887 SV%)
Hill is expected to get the call as Carter Hart (lower body) remains on IR. Hill allowed all 7 goals to Ottawa Sunday, stopping 24 of the 31 fired his way. He was 1-1-0 with a 2.54 GAA and .872 SV% against Montreal last season.
Dobes will get the call after winning 3 straight starts. The latest was a 4-3 winner against Minnesota last Tuesday, stopping 17 of 20 shots. While he is 3-0-0 this month, he has a 3.67 GAA and .836 SV%. He has not faced the Golden Knights in his 2-year career.
Golden Knights at Canadiens picks and predictionsPrediction
Canadiens 4, Golden Knights 3
Both of these teams present great offenses, but both are also having goalie issues. With Vegas limping into the last leg of their road trip, I LEAN CANADIENS (-105).
There’s no play here. However, I love COLE CAUFIELD ANYTIME GOAL (+145). He has been on a mission since he was snubbed from Team USA’s roster in the Olympics and has goals in 5 straight games. He has 8 goals combined during the stretch.
VGK is 7-2-1 O/U in its last 10, and Montreal is 6-4. With both sides having issues between the pipes, I’ll go OVER 6.5 (-110).
