Rasmus Dahlin has pushed through personal adversity all season long.
On Tuesday night, he found his way to Buffalo Sabres franchise history.
In the 7-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, Dahlin scored three goals and added two assists.
It’s only the eighth time in the history of the Sabres that a defenseman has scored a hat trick, according to Sportsnet. But it’s even rarer than that.
Dahlin became the first blue liner ever to score a hat trick for Buffalo specifically against the Maple Leafs.

The Sabres just continue to shine at the moment, and Dahlin is such a major part of that.
Buffalo hasn’t had a lot to cheer for in recent years when the Bills’ season ended. This time around, it’s different. The Sabres are rocking and rolling.
