Rangers mount third-period comeback and win in shootout over Flyers but lose J.T. Miller to injuryHead coach Mike Sullivan said you saw the worst of Rangers’ special teams and the best of them all in one game. Giving up a pair of power-play goals and a shorthanded tally is not usually a recipe for success but New York stormed back in the third, helped by a Mika Zibanejad power-play goal, flawless penalty-killing and outstanding work by Igor Shesterkin in net. After the 5-4 shootout win over Philadelphia, Sullivan said “It requires a certain mental toughness to brush things off and bounce back.” The only damper on the win was the loss of captain J.T. Miller to an “upper-body” injury with Sullivan only saying Miller was being “evaluated.”
