Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild continued their strong play on home ice Thursday night, defeating the Calgary Flames 4-1 at Grand Casino Arena to push their point streak to four games.
The Wild wasted no time getting on the board, with Danila Yurov and Vinnie Hinostroza both finding the back of the net in the opening period to give Minnesota a 2-0 advantage heading into the first intermission.
After a scoreless second period, the Wild put the game away in the third. Matt Boldy and Kirill Kaprizov each added goals to seal the 4-1 victory, while Calgary managed just a single response.
The Wild will look to extend their point streak to five games when they travels to Edmonton to face the Oilers on Saturday night.
