The Montreal Canadiens defenseman, Noah Dobson, has just learned some excellent news.
His wife, Alexa, announced that they are expecting their first child in 2026.
The video post reveals that they are expecting a baby girl later this summer. It’s another piece of good news that has been noticed inside the Canadiens’ locker room.
Nick Suzuki and Caitlin Fitzgerald Suzuki are also expecting their first baby this spring.
On the ice, Dobson is already enjoying a standout season in Montreal. He has recorded 10 goals and 23 assists.
At this pace, reaching the 50-point mark is becoming a realistic objective.
It would mark the third 50-point season or better of his career.

Noah Dobson is having a strong season with the Canadiens
Before arriving with the Canadiens, he had his best season in 2023–24: 70 points in 79 games. The following season, he added 39 points in 71 games with the Islanders.
In 2021–22, his rookie season, he had already collected 51 points in 80 games. He played 34 games and recorded 7 points. Those numbers explain why Montreal made a major investment to bring him in.
Montreal acquired him on June 27, 2025, and he later signed an eight-year contract extension.
The trade sent Emil Heineman and two first-round picks in 2025 the other way.
Between a move, a wedding last summer, and now a pregnancy, it’s been a lot. Since then, he’s often been seen with Alexa, and today’s news adds a beautiful emotional touch.
At this rate, the Habs might end up opening a daycare at the Bell Centre.
Suzuki, meanwhile, is coming off a 2024–25 season with 89 points in 82 games. He also finished with a career-high 59 assists. The year before, he produced 77 points in 82 games.
When the captain is that consistent, it makes this good news feel even lighter. Add Dobson to the mix, and 2026 is shaping up to be a special year, both at home and on the ice.
