Whatever rust Amadeus Lombardi accumulated while sidelined almost eight weeks with an injury has dissipated over the past two Grand Rapids Griffins games.

Lombardi’s goal and two assists sparked the Griffins to a 5-2 win against the Chicago Wolves Saturday to end their three-game losing streak. Lombardi also scored in Grand Rapids’ last game, giving him four points in his past two games. That follows a four-game pointless slump.

The former OHL standout, a top 10 Red Wings prospect, shows five goals and 15 points for 20 points in 22 games this season. Over his past 66 games with the Griffins, he has 24 goals and 60 points.

Prospect Michal Postava had the win in net for Grand Rapids. He’s 8-2, with a 1.63 GAA and .940 save percentage. Alex Doucet and Dominik Shine also scored for the Griffins. Eduards Tralmaks picked up an assist.
