The Florida Panthers are taking on a red-hot Buffalo Sabres team on Monday night.
They’re doing it without Brad Marchand.
The star veteran, and a supposed-to-be key piece of Team Canada at the Olympics, is nowhere to be found.

Is Brad Marchand playing tonight?
No, Marchand was ruled out on Monday before the game against the Sabres, according to the Panthers’ official website.
He’s listed with an undisclosed injury.
He was initially hurt last Thursday. He didn’t play at all in the third period that night for Florida.
Panthers head coach Paul Maurice didn’t have an update for reporters after that game.
All he could offer was that Marchand would be looked at “tonight and tomorrow.”

Marchand hasn’t played since.
Canada plays at the Olympics in less than two weeks. Marchand will have to recover quickly, and the Panthers would certainly appreciate having him, too.
