The Philadelphia Flyers enter Tuesday with losses in 11 of the last 13 games. It has turned their season upside down and left everyone searching for reasons, someone or something to blame, and trying to find answers.

There simply may be none to be found at this point. The Olympic break is approaching, one that will be desperately needed for everyone.

Meanwhile, the Flyers’ opponent on Tuesday is starting to find some answers for themselves. The Washington Capitals have won four of the last five games, including two without their top two goalies. They have pulled back to within two points of third place in the Metropolitan Division.

Game time is at 7 p.m.

Travis Konecny picked up two points on Saturday to remain red hot. He has five goals and seven points in the last three games.

Alex Ovechkin has just two goals in his last 11 games, but is tied for the team lead with 22 goals. He also has 52 goals in his career against the Flyers.

Dan Vladar gets the start for the Flyers. Vladar made 18 saves on 21 shots in an overtime loss to the Kings on Saturday.

Clay Stevenson is expected to start for the Capitals. Stevenson made 29 saves on 30 shots in a win over the Islanders on Monday night. He has wins in both of his NHL starts this season.
