Martin St-Louis decided to hold a full morning skate today in Winnipeg ahead of the final game before the Olympic break.

The players will take the ice at Canada Life Centre at 10:30 a.m. local time, which is 11:30 a.m. Eastern time.

It’s a session that figures to be important in clearing up any remaining doubts regarding the starting lineup.

All eyes will obviously be on the injured players to see whether they are on the ice and if they made the trip.

Even though expectations are very low for a return by Patrik Laine tonight, according to Eric Engels at least, his participation in practice would provide a clear indication.

This session will mainly serve to confirm the identity of the starting goaltender against the Jets.

After the recent heavy usage of Jakub Dobes, it remains to be seen whether Samuel Montembeault will get a vote of confidence before the long break.

Final adjustments before the break and before the matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Winnipeg Jets

This is the ideal opportunity for the coaching staff to lock in their line combinations one last time.

With the administrative roster moves from the previous day, things could get interesting, especially if Kent Hughes completes a trade before 3:00 p.m.

We should have a clear picture around noon regarding the available personnel for this matchup.

The decisions made this morning will dictate the tone of this final game before the temporary shutdown of the NHL.

Will Alexandre Texier return to the lineup?

Will Kirby Dach move back to the wing on the top line?
