Liveblog: Jets jump to 1-0 lead on Montembeault and Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens (31-17-8) play their final game before the break for the Winter Olympics against the Winnipeg Jets (22-25-8) on Wednesday at Canada Life Centre.

After tonight, the Canadiens don’t play again until Feb. 26 against the New York Islanders.

Samuel Montembeault gets the start in goal after Jakub Dobes started four in a row. Montembeault last played on Jan. 24.

Former Jet Patrik Laine is close to returning from injury, but it won’t be tonight against his old club.
