Blues send Bjugstad to New Jersey for AHL player, draft pick

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) – Just before the Olympic break, the Blues have made a trade.

The team is sending forward Nick Bjugstad to the New Jersey Devils for forward Thomas Bordeleau and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. Bordeleau is in the AHL and will report to the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Bjugstad, 33, has dressed for 35 games this season, recording six goals and one assist. He was signed as a free agent before the season.

Bordeleau, 24, has played in 44 NHL games with the San Jose Sharks, recording six goals and 12 assists. He has appeared in 35 games for AHL’s Utica Comets this season.
