The Winnipeg Jets have sent back down defencemen Elias Salomonsson and Isaak Phillips to the AHL Manitoba Moose as the team prepares for the Olympic break.

Salomonsson, 21, a 2022 second-round pick has played in 25 games for the Moose this season putting up eight points (1G,7A). He made his NHL debut on Nov. 26 for the Jets but has so far gone scoreless in 13 games.

Phillips, 24, a 2020 fifth-round pick is playing his first full season with Winnipeg after being part of the Blackhawks organization for the past 4.5 seasons. He’s has played just two NHL games played this season. For the Moose, Phillips has scored 15 points (3G,12A) in 35 games this season.
