Earlier today, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced a very significant update regarding former New York Rangers’ forwards fate with the organization after another disappointing playoff exit.

Over the last nine consecutive seasons, the Maple Leafs have managed to find themselves in the Stanley Cup Playoffs but have failed to advance any further than the second round, leaving several fans and MLSE very disappointed.

Ultimately, this type of performance issues a major change within the organization, which leaft Maple Leafs organization no choice but to fire their President and former New York Rangers star Brendan Shanahan after 11-season and nine failed playoff performances.

However, after the move was made NHL insider Elliotte Friedman cleared the air on another big question mark surrounding the Maple Leafs organization, will General Manger Brad Treliving be fired as well?

Brad Treliving has only been with the Maple Leafs organization for two seasons after being let go by the Calgary Flames, but according to Elliotte Friedman the team will not part ways with their General Manger.

Since Treliving’s arrival in Toronto he has made some fans very happy with his recent moves by bring in several valuable assets such as Chris Tanev, Oliver Ekman-Larsson so it’s safe to say that he’s not currently in the hot seat, yet.

Unfortunately it was time for MLSE and the Maple Leafs to move on from Brendan Shanahan, and now, they look to replace him as he looks to find another organization to join.
