The Ottawa Senators were to be without top goalie Linus Ullmark on Thursday night.
The Senators announced before facing the Philadelphia Flyers in their final game before the National Hockey League’s break for the Winter Olympic Games that Ullmark wouldn’t suit up at the XFinity Mobile Arena.
A club statement said Ullmark had “flu-like symptoms and will not play tonight.”
Backup James Reimer, who allowed three goals on 18 shots in the 4-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh on Tuesday, was to start in net against the Flyers.

Ullmark made 14 stops in a 4-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday. It was his second start back since returning last weekend from a personal leave of absence for mental health reasons.
In those two starts, Ullmark had a 1.50 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage.
The Senators recalled goaltender Hunter Shepard from the American Hockey League affiliate in Belleville to dress as the backup to Reimer.
Eight points out of the final wildcard spot in the NHL’s Eastern Conference, the Senators won’t return to action until they face the Detroit Red Wings on Feb. 26.
