While the majority of National Hockey League players are enjoying a break or competing at the Olympic Games, action has resumed in Brossard.
The Montreal Canadiens’ training center, usually quiet at this time of year, welcomed some determined skaters.
We have confirmation that two important members of the organization decided to lace up their skates despite the official break.
It was Patrick Guillet who shared these observations live from Brossard.
The first surprise involves Ivan Demidov, who is already back at work.
“The vacation is short-lived for Ivan Demidov. He is on the ice this morning in Brossard.”
– Patrick Guillet
He is once again displaying an impeccable work ethic, not wasting a single second of his development.
But Demidov wasn’t the only one looking to sharpen his game today.
Alex Newhook also made his appearance on the ice for a training session.
True die-hard competitors!
Ivan Demidov and Alex Newhook are already back in Brossard
What also stands out is the support staff present around Alex Newhook.
The forward was working under the direct supervision of Adam Nicholas, the club’s Director of Hockey Development.
Nicholas’ presence confirms that this session was structured and focused on specific technical aspects.
Seeing these players practicing during a period normally reserved for rest sends a positive message about their commitment to the team.
