The NHL has announced a makeup time for the Blue Jackets’ postponed game against the Los Angeles Kings, and the announcement has some Columbus fans upset.
Originally set for Jan. 26, the Jackets’ game was pushed back by Winter Storm Fern and its resulting Level 3 snow emergency. At the time of the postponement, the team shared that the game would be made up on March 9, and tickets purchased for the Jan. 26 game would remain valid. However, it wasn’t until Feb. 11 that fans were given a new start time for the Monday faceoff, and that time is 4 p.m.

Coach Rick Bowness and the Blue Jackets are scheduled to face the Kings at 4 p.m. on March 9.
“So you don’t want people there? We have jobs,” one Twitter post said in response to the news.

We have jobs, bro. You should be offering ticket refunds for people who can’t get off work. This a joke,” read another.
Others were more charitable, pointing out that the Blue Jackets also have a game the next night in Tampa Bay, and the earlier puck drop should make the team’s turnaround for the back-to-back slightly easier.
“I think getting two wins is more important,” offered one Blue Jackets supporter.
Los Angeles will also play in another city on March 10, as the Kings head to Boston to take on the Bruins.
