The BYU men’s basketball team has just seven regular-season games remaining before the Big 12 conference championships and the NCAA Tournament.

Every one of these games are crucial for a Cougars team that snapped a four-game losing streak on Tuesday on the road at Baylor. The window is closing for Kevin Young’s squad to start firing on all cylinders and pad their postseason resume.

Enter the Colorado Buffaloes.

This is the perfect “get right” game for the Cougars, and they’re going to respond in the friendly confines of the Marriott Center.

To get right to the point, the Cougars are going to eclipse 100 points in this one as they take out some pent up frustration on Colorado.

The Buffaloes come into this game with a defensive rating of 107.7, meaning they give up that many points per 100 possessions. This result ranks Colorado’s defensive performance No. 148 in the country, per Ken Pom. BYU’s offensive rating of 126.3 ranks fourth nationally, trailing only Illinois, Alabama, and Purdue. BYU’s Big Thee of AJ Dybantsa, Richie Saunders, and Robert Wright III are going to score early and often.

It’s going to be an avalanche.

While BYU can’t afford to look ahead to next week’s matchups against No. 1 Arizona and No. 5 Iowa State. They know they will be fortunate to split those two gnarly matchups. They can’t afford to drop a more than winnable Big 12 conference game against an opponent that sports a 4-8 conference record. And they won’t. Kevin Young is going to have his Cougars focused, hungry, and prepared to notch another Big 12 victory as they make their final preparations for the postseason.

Prediction: BYU 102, Colorado 81
