Team Denmark News and Notes:
Team Denmark is coming off of a dangerously close game against one of the top teams in the tournament in Team United States. After going up on USA, coming out of the first period with a 2-1 lead but the juggernaut came back with a vengeance late in the game putting up five more goals in the last two periods. If Team Denmark wants to stay in this tournament, they need to shake off the losses to Team Germany and Team United States and take down Latvia in today’s matchup.
Team Latvia News and Notes:
Team Latvia pulled out a major underdog upset, toppling the titan that is Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl and Team Germany in a hard-fought 4-3 victory. Latvia is hanging onto this tournament by a thread and taking down Team Denmark would be huge win, likely off the backs of one of the top and most underrated goaltender tandems in the tournament with Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender, Arturs Silovs and Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender, Elvis Merzlikins.

Players to Watch:
Team Denmark:
Team Denmark has a couple players on point streaks with Carolina Hurricanes veteran forward Nikolaj Ehlers and Seattle Kraken forward Oscar Fisker Mogaard both grabbing points in their last two games. Along with forward Nick Olesen being able to open up their biggest game yet against the juggernaut in Team United States. Despite the tough 6-3 loss, Team Denmark is anything but out of this tournament.
Team Latvia:
Team Latvia also has two players currently on point streaks in the tournament in Tampa Bay Lighting forward Zemgus Girgensons and forward Renars Krastenbergs. Both men were also two of the three multi-point performances that helped take down Team Germany along with Providence Bruins forward Dans Locmelis potting two goals. With so many secret weapons along with the top tier goaltender tandem, Team Latvia is a major underdog not to be messed with
