The Lenovo Center’s new View Bar is set to open Tuesday for
the first time when NC State hosts UNC in men’s basketball, Hurricanes Holdings
CEO Brian Fork announced.
The View Bar is located between sections 317-319 and is open
for all fans.
“We’re thrilled to introduce this state-of-the-art amenity
for fans visiting Lenovo Center,” Fork
said in a news release. “Open to all fans in attendance, the View
Bar provides a gathering space to grab a drink on the third level without
losing sight of the action.”
Construction is ongoing for new 300-level amenities, which
include a new grab-and-go concession space and a complete refresh of all
restrooms.
The View Bar is expected to be open for select concerts and events.
It will make its debut for a hockey game with the Carolina Hurricanes host the
Tampa Bay Lightning on Feb. 26.
The new View Bar is part
of an ongoing $300-million renovation at Lenovo Center.
Basketball capacity is expected to grow by approximately 663
seats to 20,450. Hockey capacity is expected to grow by 694 seats to
approximately 19,606. And concerts or touring events would see a jump of more
than 700 seats with exact amounts depending on the configuration of the arena.
Events that use the entire arena would have 21,266 seats.
Lenovo Center is set to host the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight
rounds of the 2028 NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
The $300-million renovation is separate from the planned
development of an entertainment district around the arena.
