Detroit Red Wings linemates Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond made key plays for their respective teams in regulation Wednesday before Quinn Hughes scored at 3:27 of overtime to lift the United States past Sweden 2-1 in an Olympic quarterfinal matchup in Milan, Italy.

The second-seeded U.S. (4-0) will face third-seeded Slovakia (3-1) in the semifinals on Friday. Canada plays Finland in the other semifinal on Friday.

Hughes (Michigan and Minnesota Wild) scored on a shot from the slot that went off the post and in during the three-on-three OT.

Larkin scored on a net-front tip-in at 11:03 of the second period to put the U.S. ahead 1-0. He deflected in a shot by Jack Hughes. Quinn Hughes also assisted.

Raymond made a brilliant pass to set up Mika Zibanejad’s goal on a one-timer that tied it with 1:31 remaining in the third period. Sweden had pulled goaltender Jacob Markstrom for the extra skater.

Connor Hellebuyck made 28 saves for the U.S.

Raymond finished the tournament with nine points (one goal, eight assists) in five games, which is tied for the scoring lead with Canada’s Connor McDavid.
